Desislav Danov - Managing Director and in charge of Bulgarian chapter.

Desislav holds Masters degrees in Law and in Business Administration from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. Since 1998 until 2009 he worked in some of the largest Bulgarian and International Insurance Companies. In 2009 he joined the Insurance Supervision Division of the Financial Supervision Commission. Since 2012 he is private consultant. 2016 to 2018 he was the first Bulgarian representative in IRSG at EIOPA. In 2017 he was elected member of FSUG to the EC. He authored monographs on insurance supervision, Insurtech and Regulation 1215 as well as many insurance-related articles.
Erik Barna - Romania

A creative thinker, strategist and technology entrepreneur, Erik is the Founder & CEO of Life Is Hard, an award winning public tech company. His 15+ years experience and a professional background and capabilities in IT, entrepreneurship, management and product development make him an Innovation and Leadership Advocate. Erik has more then 10 years experience in InsurTech, is the founder of 24Broker.ro, the leading SaaS platform for the Romanian Insurance Brokers. Since 2016 is Board Member of Cluj-IT Cluster.

Calin Rangu - Romania


Călin is double licensed in economics and engineering, PhD in neural networks applied in financial series processing, MBA graduate in banking and finance, University Lector at Administration and Political Studies National University, MBA Lector for City University of Seattle. He acted over 15 years as director in Romanian Financial Supervisory Authority, National Bank of Romania, Raiffeisen Bank, and general director of Romanian subsidiary of Raiffeisen Informatik Austria Group. He is president of Romania-Iceland Bilateral Chamber of Commerce. Călin is acting as Director of Business Conduct and Intermediaries Supervision in Romanian Financial Supervision Authority (FSA), previously Director of Consumer Protection Directorate. He is President of the Institute of Financial Studies, Vice-president of EIOPA InsurTech Task Force, Board Member of EFICERT (European Financial Certification Organisation). He has a broad experience in technologies and financial services and products, in management, banking, financial markets, consumer protection, operational risks, etc. He published over 150 articles, and two books, being organizer or speaker in major conferences related to financial technologies, cyber-fares, operational risk management, insurance sector, consumer protection, alternative dispute resolution, financial and banking sectors, or management and processes.

Atanas Ivanov - Bulgaria

Atanas Ivanov holds Master of Engineering in Industrial Control Engineering. He graduated from the Technical University of Sofia in 1998. with honors. 1993 to 2004 he worked as a software engineer in various companies in the industry. Since 2004 he co-manages his own company "Industrial Software and Systems" Ltd. dealing with software development in the field of application programming, web services, etc. In 2009 he became also co-owner and manager of industrial controllers trading company, engaged in highly specialized software for industrial automation with application in real time control systems. From 2014 onwards he also manages a trading company for end-effectors and sensors for ventilation and air conditioning.

Jovan Popovski – Nord Macedonia


Jovan Popovski, holds B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Univerzitet ‘Sv.Kiril I Metodij’ in Skopje, Macedonia as well as Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. For the last 20 years Jovan has been leading teams and organizations in the IT System Integration area with focus on IT infrastructure and cloud computing as well as IT security solutions. Jovan has been delivering leading and modern IT solutions to a wide spectrum of public and commercial users, service providers and financial institutions. Now Jovan is acting as Sales Director, S&T Macedonia. He regularly participates in the meetings and work of MASIT – Macedonian Association for IT.

 


Aleksandar UGRINOSKI - Nord Macedonia

Aleksandar holds degrees in Computer sciences and IT from Skopje University St. Kiril and Metodij. Since 1996 until 2001 he worked in two IT companies in Ohrid. In 2001 he joined Civil Servants Agency as a state counselor, covering ICT and e-government issues. At 2011  he continued his career  as a state counselor in Ministry for information society and administration. Since March 2012 he join Ministry of foreign affairs, as a director for organizational affairs (secretary general), covering finance, human recourse, IT, legal, logistical affairs of the ministry. He is coauthor of  the firs and the only one book for e-government in Macedonia and few e-government related handbooks. Aleksandar is active as a consultant in the region on EU funded projects and former IDC analyst for Macedonia.

Dan Ciobanu - Romania

Dan holds Masters in Cybernetics from the Academy of Economic Studies Bucharest covering Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics. He is doing a PhD research in AI at the Romanian Academy – Center for Artificial Intelligence. Dan has extensive experience both as IT perofessional as well as investor and leading party in multiple technological start-ups. His significant experience includes versatile roles in companies as DealFLOW, OpenWorking, Facience.com and many others. He exels in many IT languages and platforms.
Sorin Iacob - Romania

Customer-focused, strategic-oriented business leader with proven and strong record of performance in broad-based management and sales experience: more than 12 years in business information / business intelligence services (automotive sector), more than 7 years in fixed & mobile telecommunications / IT
